Ultra feminine vintage trinket box features rich pink enameling and an intricate floral design on the lid. Sweet collectible was designed by Halcyon Days and is marked: Bilston and Battersea Enamels Made in England. Colors are rich and designs are clear. No chips or cracks. Metal accents have a beautiful antiqued patina. Interior is clean.

The underside bears the early BB oval mark stating Bilston and Battersea Enamels Made in England along with Cartier New York and the hand signed No. 832. This BB mark was only used from 1970-1973. The interior inscription states Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 1756-1791. Bilston and Battersea enamel needle case Halcyon Days design. Unboxed, used, chip in centre of enamel on one side - see third picture. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.

There is an equally charming modern line that goes by the name Halcyon Days, and is also quite collectible. Since enamel chips and cracks, the antique boxes in decent shape can… I'm saving my pennies to purchase -- hopefully! -- one of these charming Bilston or Battersea enamel patch boxes for my birthday. Technically, I know, they're not folk art, but they have a simple, homey charm that I just love. Battersea/Bilston boxes were produced in England around the late 18th/early 19th centuries.
